To be fair, it's really hard to make a rogue like that sucks. The basic concepts date all the way back to the Genesis.
While it's hard to make a crappy rogue like, one company has did it. Compile Heart. Like many of their games, Sorcery Saga is trash. Easiest rogue like in the world with a lot of problematic gameplay issues that slow down the pacing. I think they've made those two PS3 rogue likes that I've heard were pretty terrible as well. What is the fun of a rogue like that it's impossible to die?
