I still don't like the combat much, but I am enjoying the game now after a few hours into it. I played over 1000 hrs in skyrim, and maybe more in oblivion. I don't have much experience with any other WRPG. But the combat in skyrim is much easier to get into.
I will probably hate the combat the whole way through this game, doesn't exactly mean this game isn't for me. It's funny how that's the answer people are spewing out in defense of the horrible combat: "It's not for you".
I found many other reasons to like the game other than combat, I love the freedom of exploration. I like some of the side missions I've done so far. I find the world and the story quite fascinating. There are many reasons to like this game, the combat isn't one of them. Then again, I've only scratched the surface. I truly hope that I will like the combat more as I continue playing the game. I have gotten used to it and the controls after a while of practicing.
