Agreed.  Gameplay looks worse than a dozen of the same titles in the 90s.  Graphics are better than those on NES, but very ugly and crude.  Watching the video and reading some Youtube comments it's like a celebration of how sh***y can they make a game and still have people eat it it up.  

You just described nowadays JRPGs to me.
