I don't think AMD is going to make the impact they've been wanting to make, not as much to push Nvidia to it's knees or even to a point where nvidia has no choice but to lift a finger or two.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
