But lets not go through the debate of whether we should exclude certain games or not, it's a very impressive number. I do think the game is a bit overhyped and overrated, but it's basically the video game equivalent of a big hollywood action movie and it's fun to play.

I doubt it, GTA V is almost impossible to beat.

True, GTA V sales are just insane and I don't think it's likely it will be outsold.

However, the sales of GTA games have been improving with each installment. Recent installments even sell more than the previous one on the same console which is somewhat uncommon I believe?

San Andreas and IV admittedly sold about the same, so the sales surge of V might just be anomally. And of course it released on 4 consoles. However I won't completely rule it out yet.
