i won't be able to run OR. i'm not really sold on VR at all but PM is the only version i'd even consider. i'd never buy an $800 computer just for the opportunity to buy an expensive periphial i doubt i'll care for.

a 800$ gaming PC makes a lot of fun even without VR^^

a $400 console makes twice the fun at half the cost and four times the convience.   not exactly bashing pc here but i hate the platform compared to console.

pc is cheaper, you can play more genres, like rts or fps,  you can mod games, you can stream games every screen in the house without problems.

It's not cheaper as I'll have to buy a new pc since all my other pc needs have long shifted to a laptop.
I can play rts just fine on my laptop and all the other pc genres I'm interested in. Even Elite Dangerous ran good enough on it.
I'm not interested in modding, I can't even keep up with vanilla games.
I can connect the ps4 to my projector and living room tv without any hassle, just a power cord and hdmi cable ready at both locations. My wifi coverage however sucks, streaming HD video over it is not a viable option. Moving the pc around is a hassle, as is using a keyboard and mouse on my knee. Even connecting the laptop is akward, plus the damn battery hardly lasts an hour when gaming and it's not even using the screen.

So really it would just be an extra $800 purchase for OR. I'll give Morpheus a try first, I already have the move controllers from last gen and the ps4 eye, all set.

I used to be 90% pc gamer, 10% consoles when I had more time than games to play. Nowadays it's the opposite. Convenience first, maximize game time, minimize hassle.
