Your impressions are very much like mine, except i voiced them a few months after the game came out and i got voraciously attacked. But, that doesnt change them in any way.
The last of us is a good game, but the stealth mechanics can be frustrating and the story is disconnected and drags during the second portion where you meet the brothers. Things pick up again after that and go well, but towards the final piece it falls flat again.
Also... no final boss. Don't care what anyone says, a game without a final boss isnt a complete game.
