well nintendo got most third partys already on board (ea, ubisoft, acitivision). But they all left, main reason is for sure bad software sales (maybe ea and nintendo broke up yeah, but thats probl not the main reason. Main reason was 30k sales on fifa, mass effect and nfs). Almost every gamer had a ps3/xbox360/low end pc on wii us launch, so there was 0 demand on third party titles on this console, if they just offer the same graphics

I agree that nintendos marketing was very bad, but microsoft doesnt do alot better. And even sony wasnt either that good in marketing. I think sonys didnt even need alot marketing, having the strongest console cheaper then the xbox was enough.

The really big chance i saw nintendo throw away is really the backwards compability to the wii. They had the possibilty to switch to x86 but still hold their wii games library (and maybe even improve the games (1080p)). its 100% possible (we do all know dolphin).

If you just check all this remastered stuff for xbox and ps now a days. I think many people would be very hyped for this feature.
Also many coregames still skipped the wii. Now getting the possibilty to play zelda and co in hd + all new games. I think it could do very very very good.
