Well Witcher 3, The Order, Dying Light, Call of Duty, both Assassins Creeds, Shadow of Mordor, Sunset Overdrive. A clear majority I'd say, not that being a majority is misrepresentational but a far cry from being "quite rare these days"

Sunset Overdrive - customisable character.

Shadow of Mordor - that just comes with the territory of the IP.

Assassin's Creed - don't forget the this franchise has had as main characters a middle-eastern man, an american indian and a black woman.

So, we have Witcher 3, The Order, Dying Light, CoD, Assassin's Creed compared to:

Battlefield Hardline - Cuban

Resident Evil Revelations 2 - 2 women

Far Cry 4 - Nepalese/Tibetan

Bayonetta 2 - Woman

The Evil Within - Latino

Alien: Isolation - Woman

All released prior to Shadow of Mordor.

Yeah, I wasn't argueing the against the presence of them. Just your initial statement of the white males being "rare".

I don't always like how they deal with their Ips in general but Ubisoft has always been one of the diverse and adventurous in terms of protagonists.
