Thuway mentioned it on Neogaf. Shinobi602 has also recently said on his Twitter feed that, when asked his opinion on the whole thing of Sony going heavy on 3rd party he's said that comes from fear, he thinks quite a few of Sony's 1st party studios will be showing off what they've been up to. Which makes sense given that we've been told a large number of Sony studios and partner developers have both new IPs and new games from existing franchises in the works. Personally I think the likely scenario is that the big 3 show a lot of 1st party/exclusives, big stuff. The best E3's are when everyone goes as big as they can. Most 3rd party publishers pretty much have their own conferences this year, the home of most of the sales of those titles is pretty well decided now, Sony doesn't really need to put a lot of their stage time into those games, because they're going to sell well on PS4 regardless, Sony really needs to announce what 1st party and partners have been doing MS needs to bring the exclusives too as does Nintendo. |
