I think it's too early to be calling 'saturation' as a reason for this anomoly, even though you have been specific and added 'current price point'. All the clues point to a vacuum created by Bloodborne's success and the Batman preorders. We had a good week or so of PS4 shortages on Amazon which were more than likely created by the 'surprise' success of Bloodborne. If another big game released tomorrow and Sony had replenished the stock appropriately, the sales would be back to normal.

This is NOT to do with me 'not being able to accept the XB1 won', it's to do with an interest in understanding the anomoly, which is certainly is.
