People keep making the mistake of thinking that last generation there was a userbase of 260+ million people, and like to assume that out of that userbase 95million were casuals and all had Wiis. But tah ain't true. Not even close. Just on my account there's 1 Wii, 1 X360 and 2 PS3 (the 1st one didn't last much) on that 260+ million userbase. I played CoD, Wii Sports and MKWii on Wii, and also CoD and FIFA on PS3. Sure i'm no casual cuz alongside those I played 50 other games. But many so-called casuals actually played FIFAs and MKWii, now they're just playing FIFA. |
So are you saying most wii sales were not casuals, but FIFA and COD gamers buying a wii for mario kart?
If so why are they not getting wii U and MK8?... oh thats right, its because the motion control appeal to the one time system owning casuals is gone.
Anyway, why did you just pick FIFA and COD? Why not something like need for speed, WWE, borderlands, skyrim? Before you know it, your argument would suggest everyone that plays any half-casual game bought the wii, and therefore very few casuals did.
