Just take a look beside you. Square Enix started pushing fully into mobile like 4-5 years ago. Take a look at 2015, they are back into making console games (FF14, FF15, KH3, DQ Heroes, Thief series, Hitman series, Tomb Raider series, Deus Ex series) Obviously, if mobile has worked for Square, they wouldnt be making so many console games, right? Resource is finite.
