I fear however, that it will just start up more ramblings like they did in the first place. Here are a few quotes from you: "If Bioshock 2 comes the the PS3, it won't sell very well, because it is HIGHLY unlikely that the first game will come to the PS3." "You can't possibly play RPG's of any description, or you'd love your 360, and hate the PS3. Matter of fact, that goes for just about any genre other than platformers (and that will change thanks to Banjo). " The first one. You honestly think the GOTY sequel would not sell well if it was on something other then the 360? It would sell well regardless of console. Gears 2 would sell well on the PS3, and MG4 would sell great on the 360. Great games sell well. Here is where I find extreme bias. If someone posted a thread saying MGS4 is coming to the 360, I don't think you would say it would not sell well, because 1 2 and 3 were not on an x-box. You just don't want it to sell well on the PS3. That's an entirely different thing. The second one. This is the one that got me calling you a fanboy. What you are saying there, is all gamers should hate the PS3, as all games fall into a genre, and all genre's should lead someone to hate the PS3 and love the 360. How can you not find that last statement outlandish? |
We have already seen from DMC4 that games that have their roots in PS2 exclusivity sell better (relative to userbase) on the PS3. Whilst I don't think MGS4 would sell poorly on the 360 were it too hit the console on a similar date to the PS3 version (which, clearly, is not going to happen) it would not sell nearly as well as the PS3 version, relative to userbase. <snip> |
I just have a problem with your DMC4 argument.
It didn't sell better relative to the userbase, it outsold the 360 version despite it's userbase. A system with 6.5 million more consoles sold than the other one, was outsold by the other one. So it wasn't relative, it was actual.
BioShock coming to the PS3 would sell only as well as it sold on the XBOX 360, at max, but most likely less. But it doesn't change the fact that the game would sell because it's a good game, that PS3 owners should play, and has the DLC, which would be great, especially at a smaller price tag (~$40).
I don't see why this wouldn't happen.
