Nintendo and Amiibo: Creative New Collectibles with Extras, or the Worst Day 1 DLC to Date?

I think the amiibo implemtation in Yoshi Wolly World is pretty disguisting.  Blocking a AI partner behind a $13 paywall, and they even said having it helps to expand the gameplay so it does affect the gameplay.
