VR definite buy. I usually game by myself at night on my projector so wearing a vr headset won't be a problem. I'm all about immersive gaming and VR looks like it will deliver.
AR looks like a gimmick to me when it comes to gaming. The killer app I see for it for gaming will be far too expensive. AR is great in a social setting, playing virtual boardgames or smash bros brawl etc while sitting around a table, yet buying 4 of those AR glasses is not worth it. Plus the limited fov for the holograms turned me off. You can still play something like tumble but immersion isn't really there when the fov is that narrow.
