It might have been last year they stopped to repair NES and SNES consoles and the support. The kind that cost money.
But this is Japan we talk about, not the rest of the world. Like the new games on Dreamcast was only released in Japan if I'm not mistaken? Consoles last longer in Japan and they do get things for their systems that we might never se outside Japan.
And this not talking about the unofficial Nintendo and Sega consoles not made by Nintendo and Sega.
