There was this one anime OVA I saw on some channel I do not remember years ago; it was called Blood Reign: Curse of the Yoma. The animation was raw and it was incredibly violent. For many years, I would just remember it out of the blue and it's one I constantly refer back to. That and Angel Sanctuary, which was another weird one.
