You know I thought the exact same way, I was waiting for a worthy online game to get PS Plus. But I jumped the gun last month and extremely glad I did. The free games (granted its only free if you stay a member) were alot of fun. Sure I can buy cheap games on Amazon but never in a million years would I have even thought about buying games like Valiant Hearts and Never Alone but boy it ever opened my eyes and wished I was a member alot sooner knowing that I've probably missed out on countless free hidden gems. Currently playing Killzone Mercenary on PSTV and it's one of the best FPS i've played in awhile/in the series. You say a used game is $3-10 so that will get you around 5-15 games in the price of a PS Plus year membership where each month PS Plus gives me 6 games making it 72 games a year (granted you get the most if you have PS4/PS3/PS Vita). Of course im sure a bunch of them wont appeal to you and I but of the 72 games a year im sure there's enough free games that you'll enjoy. Incase you're a person that likes to own physical copies of games, Im also person that likes to own physical copies of the games so any games I actually like that's free on PS Plus (and has a physical copy) i'll likely buy when its cheap. Of course this is just my opinion, but I hope when the day you get PS Plus you'll see the amazing features it offers rather than just a membership fee to play online games. Off topic side note: I love the PS4 feature that you can just add the free games to your library instantly without downloading it so you can still download it anytime after the game is taken off PS Plus. I wish the PS3 & PS Vita had that feature. |
the PS3 and Vita have that feature, you just have to press the download option and once the game is downloading cancel it and the game will be saved in your "History" of games downloaded which you can acces from the PS Store (its the last option in the store menu), i was a member of PS PLUS in 2010 when the hack happened and i got Burnout that month, and now that im subscribing regularly to PS PLUS i can go back and download Burnout again because its saved in my history of downloads just like the "library" of the PS4
