Don't know if the software sales are the best they could be given Wii U's situation is Japan, but the boost was actually quite good, when you take into consideration that with MK 8 - with vgchartz numbers in mind - Wii U went from 8.9k to 19k. Now it was what, 6 or 7k to 22k?
XBC managed to boost Wii U even higher than MK8.
I would consider this as a sign that if Nintendo bets on games that japanese gamers like, it will pay off.
