The worst part is that they just let everybody think the game would be modable, launched the game, 2M people bought it and then they blocked mods. They basically used it as selling point, removed and run away with people's money.

Starting to think this a bit more by the day, it seems like such an easy choice for themt to make because in the end:

  • We can't change the scores that are laid out across multiple sites.
  • They already have the money they acquired from 4 other systems and now a 5th.
  • They can just keep breaking mods with updates on purpose.

Really though R* probably knows that they've neglected PC for so long that they can now do whatever they want and walk away with the money, if PC users retalliate then R* can simply threaten them with no future games, this the asshole has become the dictator, I can imagine some people ehre applauding that disgusting choice of practice though, they should care about the PC market and the modding communities than trying to piss them off or swindle their money and revoke modding access and then turn around to threaten the market for not doing as they demand, you really really don't earn anyone's praise for going about your game that way to customers.
