As of right now I'll use Witcher 3 for my example.  The game at the moment costs 62.99 on the store if I was to preorder it today. That plus the fact there is no tax as well I end up saving about $14 overall. For me that is a fairly decent amount back in my pocket to get the game roughly at the same time.  However I love having physical versions of my console games. I don't ever trade games in nor do I rarely lend them out to buddies.  So should I just accept that if I can go digital and save some money I should do it. Is going majority physical a thing of the past? Am I just cheaping out?

embrace digital.... no more disc swapping, protect from disc physical damage (accident, pets & younger sibblings, cousin, nephews).

Ask yourself do you actually enjoy the experience and joy of playing witcher 3 or is it owning the physical copy? The saving will help you deal with the emotional lose of not owning the disc.

The main reason for staying physicals is the resale which is something you don't do. I say don't enjoy the collection, enjoy the experience.
