Sony and Microsoft want this to be a decade long generation. If they manage to achieve that, it might outsell the 7th gen consoles. But Nintendo will probably start releasing in lockstep with Sony and Microsoft if they come out of the gate with a new console by 2017/2018, so it's hard to accurately predict.
