Exception? Those are the only games I remember that were released at the same time as the other console versions and the ports for Wii U weren't terrible.

Maybe at that time Activision didn't know that the gamecube will sell less then the rest of the consoles, even if they knew how the console userbase will end, most Nintendo fans still buy a lot of third party (they had different result in marketing research) compared with Wii U audience now. It just my early prediction. But i believe there is no conspiracy theory behind this lol, they probably done this based on marketing research.
