There is literally nothing wrong with Uplay or Origin(as in comparison to Steam) and most people that say there are issues are people that haven't used them.

People just love Steam so hate on everything else. Steam = DRM too

With some people I understand they have problems, but even without problems I just don't want to be forced into additional accounts and especially not additional software to play a game I already bought through another DRM system (ie Steam)

I haven't used the Origin software/client or whatever it is but did have to make an account (I believe it was actually a BioWare account that they merged into Origin). As mentioned earlier I do have UPlay, I have used it (though not to buy a game through) and yes it does have issues connecting to the server sometimes, and has failed to complete updates (which then stops you playing until it completes the update). Luckily though the two games I have tied to UPlay were years after release so Ubisoft had backed down regarding the always online requirement, which I suspect would have caused far more issues.

I have had a few issues with Steam in the past too (slow updates, and one failed update to Half-Life:Source meant I had to delete & re-install the game) but the frequency of issues with UPlay is way out of proportion in comparison.
