- More market share will hopefully mean more games for the platform, (just like the PS2 the console that gathered the biggest Market Share has probably the biggest library of games)

- It also means that MS will have a harder time money hatting 3d party exclusives, so hopefully no more Tomb Raider scenarios
- It will also mean that Sony will have an easier time convincing third parties of developing new exclusive games a la Bloodborne (in other words not money hatting already existing 3d party multiplats but funding the development of new exclusive IPs with 3rd party studios)
so yeah there are reasons to be happy about this as a Playstation fan.
