Yet isn't this all about not delivering enough when considering how hyped a game was. Watch Dogs and Destiny were hyped and then they failed to deliver which means that gamers themselves had hyped them up for nothing, since they didn't know what the game would be like at the end.
At the end of the day this excess hype gamers put in new IP's and games in general is bad for the consumer. As long as gamers don't learn and continue to hype up games which then not deliver, developers will cash in on the hype and the quality of games will only continue to decrease.
