| kljesta64 said: yeah videogames are everywhere, sadly.. thats probably because the movie industry embraces more and more videogame technology by that i mean engines and everything else that goes with it. perfect example are the latest trailers for terminator and jurassic park everything looks too clean and even too colorful also an issue is resolution, its far ahead of the CGI technology they are working with thats why i always watch movies in 720p but maybe im wrong on this last point lol the star wars prequels look more realistic than anything these days and those movies were 95% CGI 10-15 years ago just shows that things have changed for the worst. I dont care about physics and stuff as long as they work with the universe created. ps i disagree with everyone in this thread ![]() |
Watch it in low res and it's still nonsense

Ofcourse that wasn't the first time, against the Oliphant he also defies all g-forces and sticks like glue

However there it was a one time thing, played off as a joke. In the Hobbit he does it all the time in all seriousness.
During this whole scene I felt like I was watching a video game cutscene

The star wars prequels were more believable because they kept the physics better in check. They look quite dated by now, but still feel like it's possible.
I guess CGI still isn't at the stage that they can paste humans on moving machines and make it look real.
Maybe not with cars either. Indestructible lucky limo

CGI can be used well too, the plane crash in The grey was bone chilling

Maybe the difference is showing too much?
2012 felt like a videogame cutscene to me, the grey kept me in the plane while watching.
