True, The last star fighter (1984) looks like an early video game nowadays.

CGI has made it a lot easier to do over the top action sequences and they take it too far into video game mechanics imo.

I notice more and more of those physics defying moves by lead characters. The cgi quality is getting better, the believability of the physics is lagging behind.
