Install base is a lot more important than attach rate. I mean, really attach rate means nothing. If the console sells poorly then games are automatically going to have higher attach rates but they will still sell less so there is really nothing good about just having a high attach rate by itself.

haha...Generalization and bad conclusion,do you remember the polygon's article about mario kart 8 to be the worst selling mario kart because of the lower installbase...

In the last nintendo's financial report we had 4.77m mario kart 8 on a 9.20m installbase, freaking attach rate of 52%,the 52% of wii u owners bought it, if the installbase was higher it could be lower but if the installbase was higher do you know that mario kart 8 wouldn't have sold accordingly? If a console sells poorly, attach rate will be higher is a bad generalization...

How is it a bad generalisation? On a lower install base a game will either have a higher attach rate or it will be a flop.

Mario Kart Wii had an attach rate of about 35%. Because of the lower install base that figure has jumped up to 52% for Mario Kart 8. If the attach rate had stayed the same, or even decreased, then it would have been the lowest selling Mario Kart and would have arguably been a flop would it not?

You don't understand what I'm saying?Mario kart 8 attach rate is at these  levels because this presentage of wii u owners bought it not because the userbase is lower.,..If userbase was the only important thing then mario kart 8 shouldn't have sold these numbers,it should be lower...

Mario kart wii if it was on a lower userbase with these sales it could have a higher attach rate but it might had sold lower...

So the size of userbase isn't everything and attach rate is sometimes more important...]

You completely canceled the importance of attach rate with generalizations...
