Of course games can be too cinematic. The metal gear series, as great as it can be at times, is hampered by Kojima's soap box and ever heavy hand. It's like the very concept of brevity came to life and raped Kojima's mother right in front of him when he was a boy and now he's doing everything in his power to kill it with overwrought exposition.
