OP: You listed games that born on PC(like diablo, valve games or day Z) or have huge tradition on PC(like GTA). "Normal" AAA games don't sell well at full price on PC.We see that just by looking at Ubisoft,EA or Konami data.Even indies sometimes show that the price point per copy on consoles is higher. Basically most AAA(and even indies) only start to sell on PC when some super deal like Steam sales or humble bundle happens while on console even that "underwhelming"/Broken AAA sells a lot day one for $60. That is why devs are constantly releasing their games on consoles first and then on PC.They "force" the people who really want to play the game to buy at $60 without the chance to pirate or wait a 60% off steam sale. And then when they finish milking the console gamers, they release the PC version for lower price(Japanese games for example)or even full price sometimes(GTA5).

Chivalry, Minecraft, Don't Starve, Teraria, War of the Roses, and countless other Indie games came out on PC first and made the majority of their profit there.
AAA games tend to sell better on console, but not to the point you and most people seem to think they do.
Prediction for console Lifetime sales:
Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million
[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]
3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m
I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.
