PS: Another good one for the sales argument; I've bought probably at least 90% of my PS3 games for 10-15 euros, Platinum release, or Classics on 360, were often available only a year or so after a game released, especially if they sold well, the same was true for games that sold very poorly; they realized that selling a few units generating a small revenue was better than selling no units at zero revenue. Anyone who has ever had anything to do with sales should know as much. Heck; anyone who has ever bought a product should know as much. |
LOL Amen! The fact is that Digital DIstribution makes crazy low sales incredibly easy because the publisher doesn't have to tell all of the retail stores to lower prices. Heck on Playstation Network their flash sales are getting dangerously close to Steam sales in terms of how marked down the games are...
Prediction for console Lifetime sales:
Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million
[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]
3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m
I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.
