N64- cartridges being too small, arriving late to the party
Xbox- New brand, lack of established games, ugly box= uphill battle

Graphical prowess is always a competitive edge, but it can't compensate for lack of support and unreasonable pricing.


Exactly.  The other consoles had trouble not because they were "Too Powerful," but because of other factors.  And for the record, last gen was pretty much a 3-way tie.



Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.
