The strongest and more expensive console will win this generation, it never happened before.

About sega 32x or Cd not counting because it was the end of the gen, snes passed Genesis after gen 5 started so I guess that doesn't count either.

And they kind of did... Microsoft and Nintendo shot themselves in the foot. All Sony had to do is side step the mess and go, "That's not us!". Insta-win. Sony won the 8th generation back at E3 2013.
