Both are excellent games!
I have to say that I enjoy Mario Kart 8 more than Sonic ASRT, becauseI I feel that MK8 controls work better. Sonic flying controls/paths sometimes confuses me with its hypersensity, but not so badly to take away the fun.
Some Sonic races are amazing, like the Out Run and After Burner tracks.
My recommendation for anyone who wants a race for WiiU would be: get both!
