Fallout 3 has gone from a potential highlight of the year to being a game that desperately needs to avoid being a flop IMO. Just head over to DMeisterJ's "flop or not" threads to hear what people think of Fallout 3.

Fable 2 on the other hand is getting nothing but positive press, and it's not coming from Molyneux, it is coming from people that have spent hands-on time with the game.

 

I don't think that it's fair for you to call Fallout anything close to a flop based on opinions on this forum (which also implies that alot of people in this thread would choose fallout3 over fable2), but call Fable the 2008 RPG of the year based on press previews. If anything, Fallout3 has more hype and better impressions coming form the press than Fable 2.

And don't mind the Fallout faithfull, they want Fallout3 to be exactly like Fallout2. It would be a shame for Bethesda to put some new paint on Fallout2 with additional features and call it Fallout3 just for those rabid fans.
