Not much would've changed. It would've probably been slightly better as a full clone of Smash sales-wise, if only because people wouldn't have tried to play it like Smash and gotten frustrated before quitting. Happened all the time the first two months.

PSAS's biggest flaw was that it was a Sony game not made by Naughty Dog or SSM directly; it never had a chance to get advertised enough. Its second biggest flaw was that it looked too much like Smash despite being a different game. Hence why so many people claim it was simultaneously too much of and not enough of a clone.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!
