The difference is that all those multiplatform AAA titles like Metal Gear Solid V are coming out at the same time on Xbox One.

The difference is actually that multiplats clearly move PS4 more than they do XB1, those games are being mainly marketed on PS4, not XB1 and we all saw what kind of an effect that had to Destiny.

None of those titles are AAA...

Actually they all are, Ratchet & Clank in particular is a huge game, one of Sony's biggest selling franchises, it also has a major movie release coming out.

Those are retail releases, made by big studios, Fat Princess is at least partially a Santa Monica game, they're also very different from the standard 3rd party releases we're getting, meaning Sony hits the season on multiple fronts.

If those kinds of games moved a lot of systems the Vita would be selling like hot cakes.

Major difference is that PS4 is a much more popular platform, that also has big 3rd party games and clear support by Sony's own developers, they're also more heavily marketed that the Vita releases.

Thinking they're going to reveal GT7 and release it before X'mas just seems like wishful thinking.

Not really, especially given how GT6 was handled, announced the same year it came out, I'm not saying it's definitely going to happen, but there's nothing against it happening, just because GT5 was a heavily delayed game that doesn't mean that Gran Turismo won't come much sooner this gen compared to the last.

FYI past games in the series actually came out much sooner than PS3's titles, a delayed GT game is actually less likely than a regularly released one.

Didn't Guerrilla have most of its staff working on the last Killzone game?  They're probably only halfway through development of Horizon.

They're a big studio, with over 270 staff, which is similar in size to CD Project Red.

If Media Molecule can work on Tearaway, Tearaway Unfolded and a new IP, with only 50 staff then I think Guerrilla were fine to make more than one game in the last 4 years.

They began development on it when KZ3 finished development, along with Shadow Fall, so no it wasn't the case that most of GG were working on Shadow Fall, most of Amsterdam were likely dedicated to Horizon, given the scale of the project.

Another factor you have to bare in mind is that even smaller studios like Michel Ancel's new Indie Studio can churn out a game the size of Europe in a few years, with a staff less than 1/10th of Guerrilla.

Guerrilla even said in Feb 2014 that the game was already over 2 and a half years into development.

They've also been releasing a new game for home console every 2 years since KZ2 came out, making it even more likely that they coud at least have something.

Cambridge are working on a new game, from an established big Sony franchise, so if Horizon isn't the game, then it could be a new Killzone or Resistance that gets a release this year.

Sounds like list wars stuff where you put in a bunch of niche games that will be lucky to even chart in the top 10 to pad a list.

Not really, especially when a decent chunk of those games aren't even really niche and they all add something different to the library as a whole.

FYI people said Bloodborne was Niche, yet it sold very well. Those kinds of games, will no doubt serve to reinforce the bigger multiplat releases.

That's why PS4 has been selling like it has, it has the 3rd party sales this generation and a mountain of such games that you can't get on any other system.

The fact Personal 5 is going to be on 3 different systems will probably impact it being a PS4 system seller.  As for the others they will help in sales for sure but the same can be said of the Xbox One's existing library.

PS4 doesn't just have that though, P5 will likely sell best on PS4 out of all of the versions of the games.

As far as complete library of content goes PS4 has a substantially bigger library of games compared to XB1, fresh games from this year.
