Sony getting BO3 and Battlefront marketing deals and bundles will definitely give PS4 an edge this holiday, plus I sincerely doubt Sony's just gonna go through the rest of the year without at 1 or 2 more big AAA titles. E3 will tell all.

Thats decent enough I guess, but I don't see it winning the holiday season for Sony. Halo will sell consoles on its own for sure though.

As I said in my post it will move some, but it's not the big system seller that you seem to believe it to be.

If past games in the series could increase hardware sales by hundreds of thousands you'd have a point, especially if it had some long standing effect for weeks after release (which doesn't happen), but looking at past entries in the series it's beem the fact that people already have an XBox that has sold so many copies of the game.

Best case scenario Halo 5 moves maybe an additional 50K XBox One's compared to the previous week, the game will no doubt sell at least 2 million units release week, but it's highly doubtful it'll do much more than that.

If MS bundles the game, with some other titles then that will help, but then that's not Halo 5 having the system selling effect by itself, it's just giving a new AAA release away with the platform.

This gen XBox doesn't have the 3rd party preference like it did last gen, which will surely have an effect on how numbers rise when Halo 5 comes out.
