I had the same feelings just recently. Having only ever played the first one, which I will controversially say is a surprisingly poor game, the series never did much for me or my mate. But we sat down, pushed through the firSt game, and then proceeded to demolish the rest of the series over a few days.
Halo 2s skull system annoyed us though, legendary is just too much for us currently lol
