Considering the fact that all three of the previous Playstations had their prices' cut by $100 (or more) by the end of their second year on the market I'd say that the prospect is pretty good. Also, the PS4 will certainly fail to match the PS1's and PS2's third fiscal year sales totals (19.37 and 18.07 million respectively) unless they cut the price before the holidays.
