It all comes down to one thing, really: moderation
If you visit most forums people refer to Ninty games as "kiddie" and they don't get moderated. Ninty has become the butt of the joke in many sites and people who make fun of Ninty and its fans rarely moderated, while here it's far from the case. So VGC has become a safe place for them and also a not-so-safe one for people who see Ninty games as kiddie, rehashes, etc as they constantly get moderated and leave the site or post less.
