This thread was was not that good xD I love the star wars prequels, and i know many people do too, the prequel haters are the old star wars fans that are blindfolded. The campaign was fun. It was not just tacked on. It was missions and had some cool things. Like the mustafar or the destruction of the clone for the new empire. or the mission in the death star. AT-AT should be drivable. I know they are slow but they are so heavily armoured and powerful its a trade-off. SPACE BATTLES were awsome. They could have made space to ground battles. BUT NO. That idea is soo cool. The only thing that intrigues me from the new battlefront are the graphics wich i personally idc for graphics at all, and the new maps with cool features and vehicles, and im just a huge battlefront fan but this feels ehh :/

To each their own of course, but I thought the acting from the two main characters was awful. I have litterally seen better acting in high school plays. Add to that Jar-Jar and i think that is where a lot of the hate comes from.  I did a quick searh and Jar-Jar was in every list I looked at when I looked up "most hated movie characters"  I don't think anyone is wearing a blind fold.  I wanted to love episodes 1-3 (saw all of them on their opening nights) but i just couldn't.

weird, becuase i didnt think the over complicated stuff at all, when i was younger i liked most movies, and now i still love them to death. Acting is not bad its just how it is. i mean i can tell apart from horrendous acting and good acting, but from good acting to great acting , not much difference, actors have just different styles of acting. I liked it. Jar jar binks. never cared for him. i thought he was just a fun character. Dont hate him or like him really xD can be annoying i guess but ehh. See i mean you can look at the movies way differently

That's why I sad to each their own.  Personally I thought the story was decent it was just the execution that let me down. For instance I know Portman is a better actress than what I saw in episodes 1-3. Also to be fair, these movies were highly anticipated by me and i expected greatness and felt I was met with mediocrity.  With JJ Abrams involvement with the next set I am trying to keep my personal levels of hype at a minimum. For me JJ is hit or miss.  I loved   Lost (one of my all time favorite TV series), thought the new Star Treks were so so, thought Fringe was so so.

I have acted professionally and let me tell you there is such a thing as bad acting.  There is also poor directing. I pointed out Portman earlier, I've seen her other work and I know she was capable of better, but that means nothing if the director has poor vision for your character since you have to try to deliver what the director wants.

Edit- Sorry all our conversation really deserves to be in movies and not in this thread.
