I don't honestly care about release dates, in fact, I wouldn't care if they simply wait until a month or 2 before launch to announce it. Though, I realize massive marketing blitzes are involved, so sacrifices must be made. Early launch date announcements put unnecessary pressure on devs to deliver a game on someone else's timeline (usually the publisher), not their own.
I know, not the answer you were looking for Ryng, but, it's how I feel about it.
