Admitedly, I'd be very surprised if a prequel trilogy/Clone Wars DLC or expansion didn't show up at some point. I would also buy it in a heartbeat! Despite the obvious issues, the combat/military aspects of the prequels were very good (I'm really enjoying the Clone Wars TV show on Netlix at the moment) |
I don't think they're screwing anyone over though. The game is forced to a deadline which may annoy some, but they don't have to buy it at launch and can instead wait for the inevitable repackaging next fall. People forget that EA only aquired rights to the series in summer 2013, I'm sure work started before that but not much.
The thing with the prequel trilogy is that they've also got the new films to incoporate. I think they'll prioritise DLC from Episode VII+Rogue One over Episodes 1,2 &3.
