On a side note, I long for the day that Rogue Leader is on Wii U's virtual console.

Rogue Leader used the analogue shoulder buttons. Unfortunately, it would be pretty damn frustrating to play on Wii U. You wouldn't be able to speed up your X-Wing without locking your s-foils.

It's been far to long for me to remember the button layout, but I know most virtual console games will allow you to change which buttons do what.

Since we're on the subject of Star Wars games which were on Nintendos... I would also like the Racer game from N64 too...
