But would it really hurt the vita to take $100 of it if it means it will be in more peoples hand, meaning more games being bought (downloaded), especially for indies since apparently vita is indie heaven? I'd buy it, don't think it'd be such a bad thing. the goal now should be to get it into peoples hands and selling more content. |
If that's the logic, it's better to just sell the Vita vanilla for $100, which would sell way more Vitas, than sell the bundle for $500, where people would look at the Vita the same way they do the Kinect or the PS Eye add ons and ignore it in favor of the cheaper $400 PS4.
It also doesn't matter if the Vita is indie heaven. 99% of the Vita's indies can be bought on other, far more popular, platforms already. Indies will never be a selling point for any peice of gaming hardware.
When I say no one would buy it, I'm hyperbolizing. Only an insignificant handful of consumers would buy it, which was my point. The Vita is dead and has been for over a year. The goal now should be to empty stock and move on.
