I doubt they will. The fact is their heart and full creativity were never really in Xbox, and they were never a very creative company.
Xbox was created to "Stop Sony from dominating the Living Room." In effect it was always just another MS program that leeches off of an established market. As long as they look at this way they will never be a market leader.
Prediction for console Lifetime sales:
Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.
