Things are cyclical.
FPSs while still the biggest genre are not what they were a few years ago. (I feel Naughty Dog, Elder Scrolls, and GTA played a HUGE role in reminding people that other genres are out there with UC series and TLOU, Skyrim and GTA 5)
Other genres now have room to breathe. Its a good thing. Its not just JRPGs, I see a lot of other Genres getting more love.
